Natural stone project ‘Origin’
Here you can see my latest art-project, made of natural stone blocks and historical bricks; I titled this piece of work ORIGIN.
I feel this fits perfectly into the moveroot concept. With Origin I have begun to create a special place in this garden; the object has yet to be planted with herbs and two climbers will be planted against the white wall in the background to evenually cover this up.
Then Origin will really blend into the surrounding beautifully and be a place to sit in the shade and relax, also it is the entrance to the garden behind that now seems much more quiet and protected than before.
I enjoyed this work. It seems that working with stone like this grounds me; of course at the same time it is a very strenuous physical work, one of the ones where you really have to choose whether just to work or to really work-out. I did that the last two weeks by consciously lifting in a healthy manner, changing my stances regularly and having a good stretch often enough. I drank lot’s of water to keep well hydrated.
