delicious fresh stir creation

20150822dinnerDear Folks,
this was another really lovely meal. So fresh and fruity that I must share it with you all.
First of all I chopped a large cauliflower into smal pieces and put it in a pot with water and himalayan salt to boil. I left it on the stove until it was really soft, then I poured the remaining water off and crushed it with a fork. After that, I added about three table spoons of olive oil and stirred it all up. This is really good to eat as a sider, instead of rice.

Then I put a bit of olive oil into a large pan that has a lid. I chopped up some kaffir lime leaves, a stem of lemongras, one small red chilli, ground some pepper, added some cumin powder, some tumeric powder, a teaspoon of fresh ginger and a little bit of coriander, and heated it all well in the olive oil. I was very careful not to let it burn.

Now that the main spices had given their taste into the hot oil, I added about 500g of minced beef, a rosemary twig and two large, very finely chopped onions. I poured about three tablespoons of fish sauce(the good stuff: only anchovies, water and sea-salt) into the pan, added three cloves of garlic and the juice of one lime. Then I chopped a large zucchini into really small pieces and added that. Now I put the lid on the pan, after stirring well and let it cook for a while. Then I poured a mug of water in to keep things moist.

After letting all boil for about 7 minutes, I stirred three tablespoons of organic tomato paste into my dish.
Then I poured in the juice of one orange, a chopped bunch of thai-basil (also called holy basil, sweet basil, from the asian shop) and ten middlesized tomatoes. I switched the stove off before adding the tomatoes, because they provide a lovely fresh taste with the thai basil, when dropped in cold and not boiled.

I served it with a scoop of the cauliflower, instead of rice.
It was delicious.

Get outside and move to your roots!

  1. Hi superb website! Does running a blog like this require a massive amount work?

I have virtually no understanding of coding however I had been hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, if you have any recommendations
or tips for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject however I just needed to ask.
    Kudos!
