ART to PALEO, one lead to the other

ART to PALEO, one lead to the other

mask_01Well that was a great opening of my current exhibition last Friday. I’ve been working as an artist for many years now. And the topics have always been that which moves me throughout my life.

All throughout my adult life I have been driven by the feeling that we are all a part of something really big and that we have a great power potential to give our lives a good direction or not. It has always seemed perfectly natural to me that our collective ancestors generated a great deal of this potential and, if we keep in touch with them, know how to use it properly.

I’ve done many things on my way to get in tune with spirit and ancestors, from the spiritual approach of natural religion and animistic ceremonies, right down to a few years of actually digging for our ancestors’ remains as a technical assistant on various archaeological sites in different European countries. I was thoroughly fascinated by both.

20160209me_exhibition01But beginning long before I ever dreamt of adapting to a stone age lifestyle, I found a way to express this quest to connect in my artwork. Through my artistic expression, I can tap into the spirit world of past and future. I believe we can change all. I’d like to be a worthy ancestor of the future and be a great part of building a clear visionary now.
It seems only natural to me that my life leads me to recognize the worth of the lifestyle our paleolithic forefathers and -mothers developed to lead. Tapping into the roots of being human has the potential to get us reconnected and alter the course we’re on to the better.
