Spring wonderful spring!
Now at last it is really spring! The birds are singing, the days are getting longer and longer and everybody seems to be cheering up a little more. We haven’t had our wood fires lit in our home for two weeks now because the house is keeping the warmth of the sun.
I love the spring season, when everything is in full burst; everywhere grasses and herbs are showing lush green, the trees are sprouting young spring leaves. Some birds are building nests, others have their first nest full of hungry beaks to feed. There are baby lambs, baby rabbits… Everything in nature around us is so alive! I too feel so alive and love movement and being in nature. I love going for a run in the sun and arriving back to rest in the shade of a tree full of juicy green foilage.
The sight of the blossoming cherries and almonds, the smell of the new sun and the fresh green make me feel so at home and at the same time feel so excited about this new life, inside and out! The windows open, the light flooding our houses and our hearts. Now it’s high time to get outdoors, to spend time in nature, to watch and notice nature everywhere, even sprouting through the cracks in the paving of our streets. Nature in all it’s business like the ants and bees, the flowers and trees.
Walking and running barefoot, feeling the sun embrace my skin and the earth tickle my feet; I adore every bit of this lucious thing, spring! Sitting by a tree, walking a bit farther, enjoying a gaze into the sky, getting up in time to see the sun rise over the fields. The fresh smell of a clear morning in spring, the cool clean air in my nostrils and around my body.
There is already a great variety of fresh green vegetables, salads and herbs, cultivated or wild, growing right here in the region I live in; so the meals we enjoy have an extra boost of freshness and energy, doing us loads of good, rebooting our systems after the winter, refilling our mineral and vitamin capacitys to the max.
Get outside and move to your roots!
