Hot Sunday run
What a wonderful weekend with loads of bright sunshine!
We had a great family week-end with loads of fun splashing around in the lake, playing in the sand on the beach; we were at Artur’s favourite playground and spent our free Monday morning at the public swimming-baths. It was a bit like bein on holiday.
On Sunday I did make it out for a run though; it was 33 degrees centigrade in the shade and quite tough running weather. I ran about 9,5 km, one of my routine routes. I drank lot’s of water a good hour beforehand and loads of water afterwards.
When you work out, especially in the summer you should drink an extra litre of pure water 1 hour before you start training; this will pre-hydrate your muscles an organs. And of course fill up afterwards.
Be careful not to over do it especially when it’s hot outside. You don’t want to risk your health for overdoing it.
