spontaneous work-out with fallen oak
While I was out for a quick run yesterday I came across this beautiful oak that somebody had cut down; It was a majestic tree while standing and a great shame it’s been felled, I couldn’t find any signs of desease or weak limbs. Never the less, now this grand oak being lies there and I hope at least it will remain there to serve it’s woody environment.
Of course for some one like me, looking out for the work-out possibilities outdoors this lying giant is a great opportunity; and I shall certainly be there many times if the tree is left there and do various exercises. This kind of work-out gives me so much more than doing very similar stuff indoors. I feel so much more at home in nature; so I get rooted/grounded as well as physically working out.
Nature always provides us with all we need to have a really good and healthy work-out. You might be surprised if you go for a walk out in the sticks and just keep your eyes open for possibilities, what you will find. Especially a situation like the oak in this post’s video fills me with energy; I feel that the strngh of that old oak is still very present, and joining it’s great field charges me up and roots me deep into the ground. What you don’t see in the video is me just sitting down on the tree’s trunk, just being for a while. What a gift, it seems that plants always give what they have to give. Even if they are cut down they don’t seek revenge or to harm, they always give what they have. How worthy are they of our deep respect.
